The Enugu State Command of the Nigerian Police Force on Sunday announced that it has arrested a member of a child trafficking gang. The Command's spokesman, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Enugu. Ndukwe said that the suspect identified as Ifeanyi Omeke, 21, was arrested by its personnel attached to Igbo-Eze North Police Division in collaboration with the state Neighborhood Watch Group on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Igogoro village in Enugu-Ezike community of Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area.
