One politician who wore blackli face demanded the resignation of another politician wearing black face. Thats more than hypocrisy, its escape andli evasion. You escape scrutiny by advisingt by accusing other people doing exactly what you yourself are doing but on a much grander scale. People calling you a thief are picking your pocket. Ones calling you an adulterer our hitting on your wife. The ones claiming you are immoral are deeply worried about spending eternity in flames, probably for good reason. The bill clinton as feminist scam. We should give you a million examples. But the living embodiment of this syndrome, alltime triple gold medal winner in the category turns out to be running for president of the United States. Kirsten gillibrand. Gillibrand is interesting not because theres a chance she will become the president , she i wont. Shes fascinating because shes so perfectly embodies the attitudes and the vanities of b the modern Democratic Party and ruling class more broadly f you want to know what theyre thinking in the faculty lounge at wesleyan, hollywood, watch Kirsten Gillibrand. Shes who they all are. Like all of them, she rarely utters a sentence anymore without some form of moralen judgment. She appears to have retired from politics, actually. Shes a preacher now. This country was founded on some basic moral principles. That we have a moral compass as a nation, our morality as a country is literally on an ice edge. Its a moral question. For me its a moral question. Ive been called to fight as hard as i can to restore that moral integrity, moral decency. Tucker moral integrity, moral decency. Interesting to see if she gave that lecture to her old friend harvey weinstein. Or pal disgraced new york general eric snyderman, standing accused of beating women and calling his girlfriend a brown slave. Did she mention that . The question of moral prims ever come up during the time she spent with her mentor, bill clinton . Probably not. Its not clear how gillibrand or any of these people de find the word moral. Couple of months ago she gave us a hint, our future, she wrote ie a tweet, is, quote, female, intersectional, powered by belief in one another. Do you have any idea what that means . Gillibrand likely doesnt, no one asked her to explain. Theyre afraid to ask herr anything. Do why . Gillibrand is a victim now. Bet you didnt know that. Shes shielded from the scrutiny we receive. She announced her status in a fundraising pitch. Quote, im already facing questions about my likability and tone she wrote. Sexism is bubbling into the narrative around the campaign. But i wont stop fighting for a a country that values respects women. Will you add your name to reject sexism . Get it . Kirsten gillibrand is nowe oppressed. She seems like one of the more powerful people in the world. She went to a pricey allgirls boarding school and then an Ivy League College and the law school and then she was political like all my connections to get a prestigious legal clerkship and got a senate really running for. But all seems like a pretty high level of privilege, but no, despite a life of wealth and connections, Kirsten Gillibrandn is now telling us shes oppressed. Who are the oppressors . You and me and anyone else who doesnt support her for president. Were guilty of sexism. Shes a victim of it. You wont be surprised to learnl that Kirsten Gillibrand was one of the first politicians to side with Jussie Smollett. She can empathize with that. When the next hate hoax comes along shell probably tweet support of that too. She cant resist a fat. Whatever the political opportunities shes there, too, in lock step. Gillibrand supported a balanced budget amendment, now backs the new green deal. Bragged about do keeping two guns under her bed, a rating from the nra, now wants to ban rifles. The nra is not wrong but evil shets says. The nra has a choke hold on congress, the nra is concerned only with gun sales, it is literally all about money and all about greed. Nothing to do with the second amendment. The power of money, the power of communications, the fear they instill in members and its wrong. Its morally wrong. Tucker there it is again, its morally wrong. The beauty of declaring something morally wrong, rather than just misguided or ineffective, is that you cant really argue with the moral absolute. You can only obey a moral absolute. Thats the point. As a member of congress, gillibrand said she believed in borders. She promised to crack down on sanctuary cities, opposed awarding drivers licenses too illegal aliens. That was then. Now she wants to abolish i. C. E. I dont think i. C. E. , today, is working as intended. You think you should get rid of the agency . I believe it has become a deportation force. And i think you should separate out the criminal justice from the immigration issues. And i think you should reimagine i. C. E. Thats why i believe you should get rid of it, start over, reimagine it, and build something that actually works. Tucker you can see her trying to remember the talking points, dont get confused, reimagine i. C. E. A little over her skis. When she said that, banning i. C. E. Wasnt popular even among democratic voters. Gillibrand lurched back and said she didnt really want to get rid of i. C. E. , you saw she proposed exactly that. But now, a few months later, lurching back again, abolishing i. C. E. That qualifies as centerism. She needs something more radical to be considered the progressive candidate. She found it. This week she found it. She proclaimed Border Security is immoral it impedes the movement of Indigenous Peoples into our country which apparently is really their country. Watch. On immigration, um, i meann this is a crisis at the border right now. We need to have asylum, creating refugees. A lot of these people are indigenous to this land and that border is cutting them off. The wall is hurtful. Tf tucker just who are these Indigenous People . Who knows. As long as theyre female and intersectional, she believeses they are our future. Jonathan harrison joins us. Thanks for coming on. Who are these Indigenous People we cant keep out . Citizens, noncitizens . I think what she was referring, to it wasnt her that said it, it was the activist . Tucker walls are hurtful she was kind of nodding before. I think what shes referring to is that i think its like in the mid1800s for example in texas, that was an independent nation and it was shared by european settlers as well as mexican settlers. They were sharing land together and on the europeans kind of forced mexicans out and that was duplicated again in california and so on and so forth. I think whatal shes talking abt is the reality of a lot of the people that are now outside of the country are actually descended from indigenous actual Indigenous People. Tucker arent they dead . D . I said descended from. Tucker in your ancestors lived in a place you have aa right to go there and use their social programs for free . Just means you are descended from people who are indigenousro people. Tucker a woman who she was talking to said said its wrong to put a portable up because it would keep people who are indigenous to the region out and she said thats absolutely right, thats why they are so hurtful. So what theyre saying is if your ancestors lived in a place that you have, by definition, genetic citizenship or something their gimmick is it true do you think you met or is that insane . I dont think thats what gillibrand was saying. That might have been what the activist was saying but she didnt agree with it. What she said is going back to her talking points, we need asylum, the wall is immoral, things like. I dont know she agreesra with that. That is a factual statement. Tucker populations have moved around the globe fort. Thousands of years. Right. Tucker as long as we are saying that if your ancestors, we take a dna test orke somethi . If i have a child or you have a child outside of the u. S. , they are still considered american citizens. Thats because you are a citizenship. Citizenship is not a gender category because this isnt despite what people say, an inherently racist nation. As soon as you decide that genes are what give you claim to living here no. Tucker thats a different thing. I dont think thats what she was agreeing to, she was i agreeing the fact many of piece people had they not been pushed out or robbed of their land, the people there now are descendants tucker i doubt she knows about the history of the region or anything else. She said that the 14th amendment gave women the right to vote. A lets not overstate her knowledge. I could go down a laundry list of things trump has said u they all do that. Tucker im saying i doubt she knows about the history of the region. I think its important to establish a principle, if youre a citizen you have a right to be here and if youre not you dont. Of course. Tucker gillibrand doesnt agree. Ou her new posture as a victim, grew up privileged, saying there shes a victim of sexism . She said that. The right does that a lot. They mounted his horse in the 80s up the moral majority and everything was a moral issue. People couldnt get married, do these things my private g life. The right did that. Tucker im an h episcopal and, im not here to lecture you about your moral failings atou all. I mean, whatever. But right now, gillibrand is saying this is one of the most powerful people in the world, like Jussie Smollett, rich person. But theres no theres no correlation. Tucker there is a trend of powerful people claiming theyre victims. The people oppressing them are poorer and less popular than they are. I think theres a difference between highlighting something you may be the victim of, like Hillary Clinton had a very different road that donald trump and a lot of it tied into sexism. Shes not calling herself a victim. Tucker of course she is. No shes not. Shes just saying this is what i had touc s do. Can you highlight your own struggle without calling yourself is that even possible . Tucker you should be quiet about your own struggle if youre as powerful as Hillary Clinton. Or powerful as i am, a lot of things i dont like but i dont whine about it. On because im successful and i dont believe in whining. Do you understand what theyre doing when Hillary Clinton does that, obviously, she said it cant hurt me. But a lot of women go through that. People that tucker you know what is going on, powerful people pretending to be powerless. Because it shields them from criticism. I dont see herself calling herself a victim. Tucker i hope youre right. Thank you, jonathan. Great to see you. Erlf t like most of the Democratic Party 2020 candidates Elizabeth Warren is running fast toe position herself at the left end of the spectrum, a position she comfortably held for years until the party itself went insane and that left warren looking dangerously moderate. Yesterday warren unveiled a plan for universal staterun taxpayerfunded daycare scheme in the United States. Warren wants 12 million kids to participate in the daycare plan. 60 of all children under five in america. In a speech shortly before revealing her plan warren said universal daycare, quote, is s about what each of our children is entitled to. Not just the children of the wealthy, not just the well connected, but one of ourt children is entitled good childcare. Lets take this seriously. Warren has it exactly backward. Children are not entitled to government daycare. What children are entitled to is love from their own parents. Now, warn herself used in others veryry well. 15 years ago she wrote an entire book making that case. The book was called the two income trap. Its excellent. I say that as a nonliberal, its great. T. She argues that American Families have been decimated by the mass exodus of mothers intoo the workforce. Children are less cared for, mothers far less happy, and thanks to wage stagnation and rising prices families report better off economically. She proves that point, read it. Many families are worse off. Thats one of the main reasons americans are having feweril children than they used to and far fewer children than they say they want to have. Ha they have no choice, they cant afford it. The kids they produce are likely to be less successful and rising rate from drug addiction and suicide and joblessness attest to that fact. The American Family has been crushed by the changing american economy. Y and nobody wants to admit it. But 15 years ago, elizabethh warren admitted it and was deeply troubled. Good for her. The old Elizabeth Warren. Now she wants to be president , shes gone corporate. Thats where the money is. The new Elizabeth Warren argues that the dream is not raising your own children, the American Dream is outsourcing theirir upbringing to government caretakers while their parents scurry back to work. Good little servants of globalized market capitalism. The need from our government daycare specialist will be justified, used to justify more immigration. And so the cycle is complete. The Democratic Party started by outsourcing manufacturing, remember that. Outsourced farm labor and yard work. G now decided to outsource parenting. Raising your own kids Elizabeth Warren is telling us is a job americans wont do. Huh. Breaks news in the jussiedo smollett case, moments before the show began he was charged with a felony in chicago, we have the live update for what is happening in that story aftern the break. My experience with usaa has been excellent. They really appreciate the military family and it really shows. With all that usaa offers why go with anybody else . It was funny because when we would call another insurance company, hey would say oh we cant beat usaa were the webber family. Were the tenneys were the hayles, and were usaa members for life. Get your usaa Auto Insurance quote today. Chicken thats right, chicken . candace new chicken creations from starkist. Buffalo Style Chicken in a pouch bold choice, charlie just tear, eat. Mmmmm. And go try all of my chicken creations chicken tucker a Pretty Amazing case of breaking news tonight in the Jussie Smollett story, the hate hoax that he apparently perpetrated. New Surveillance Footage prior to the attack has come out and just moments ago police formally charged him with a felony. A lot going on. Matt finn is here from chicago. Sorted out first. Matt . Smollett is formally charged with filing a false police report, which carries up to a threeyear sentence sentence here in illinois. Chicago police say their detectives today presented their evidence to a grand jury in the courthouse behind me and also the brothers attorneys said that the brothers testified before the grand jury for 2. 5 hours today. The brothers attorneys said the brothers do not have a plea deal or immunity. Thats not why they are cooperating according to the attorney. The Attorney Says you dont need a plea deal when you have the truth. The brothers attorney also saysw she does not know how Jussie Smollett is sleeping at night and she is urging Jussie Smollett to cooperate with authorities. Also, the brothers attorneys to her clients feel pressured or manipulated as hollywood actor but would not expand on why they got involved in this alleged hoax. The brothers attorney also says she does not expect charges against her clients. T she also says the brothers will reveal their truth eventually. We also obtained new video showing the brothers apparently purchasing the black masks and red hats at a hardware store. The Surveillance Video shows them doing it. The ball tonight is now in Jussie Smolletts court. It will depend on what type of strategys legal team is advising him. Tr if we do know that Chicago Police requested last saturday that Jussie Smollett answer a couple more of their questions after the brothers gave some type of testimony that dramatically altered this case but as of this moment it appears that smollett has nothi cooperad with police and smollett is also facing federal charges because the fbi is investigating that the alleged death threat letter that he received one week prior to this hoax and if he lies to federal authorities or if he had any part in that letter he could be in trouble with the fbi as well. Tucker matt finn in chicago. Got to wonder if you will be arrested in a predawn raid by dozens of armed agents wait, hes not roger stone. Libby locke is an attorney whos been involved in a number of highprofile cases like this and she joins us tonight for some perspective. Thanks very much for coming on. So first, if you would give us some sense of what the charge is against Jussie Smollett and the penalty for it eventually. Sure. It sounds like mr. Smollett has been charged with giving a false report to the police. As your reporter r just noted, theres a possible three year sentence that mr. Smollett could face jail time and this is a very serious charge and in my perspective these kinds of hoaxes commit if mr. Smollett did in fact make up this allegation and did in fact engage in this reporting to the police and wasted police resources, he should in fact go to jail and spend time inin jai. Too many of these hoaxes are not prosecuted and we need some deterrence here. Tucker so that really kind of is the point. Theres a long list of people who have been hurt by theseee hoaxes. But there seems a pretty short list of the people who have been held accountable for perpetrating them. Can you think of another example where someones going to prison for Something Like this . I cant. We dealt with this in the Rolling Stone case that would prosecuted, the fake game rape that a woman on campus told a olreporter at Rolling Stone. She did not make false reports to the police. She never reported that to the police and therefore the police didnt have a basis to bring charges against that woman. Here, thats very different than mr. Smollett if he in fact made up this attack and reported it to police, that is basis for not only state charges, but also federal charges if any of the conduct that he engaged in impacted interstate commerce or was in interstate commerce, then theres a federal angle to that too. Tucker it so interesting that its not simply a question of how the police respond, Law Enforcement response, but also the people covering it, the press. There is the instinct to protect the false accuser, the person spreading hatred and fear and distrust, that you were involved in in charlottesville, virginia. The woman who made the false claims was protected, in effect, by the Washington Post and other Media Outlets for a long time, i never understoodd why. Her anonymity was protected throughout that process because she reported to behe a victim of rape even though every story she told, there were multiple stories, turned out to be debunked. And here, this is an example of media confirmation bias at its best. From the very getgo media rushed in and said and politicians too rushed in and said this attack was horrible, they immediately hashtag believed jesse. And there was no stopping and thinking about does this smell right, one of the facts here and now it sounds like the s prosecutors believe that there was a false report. They have brought charges and i would like to see what the evidence is, his phone records. Tucker i dont know what the evidence is either but i know a b. S. Story when i see one. I thought it from day one but why the media, which is paid to be skeptical and paid to chase down facts are the ones demanding Robin Roberts on abc colluded with this guy to perpetuate his hoax. The other channels, the dishonest ones we compete against or not even covering this development apparently. Why would reporters fall for this before everyone else . Thats a great question. Its exactly why Justice Thomas was correct in raising yesterday in the Supreme Court why we need to rethink that New York Times versus sullivan standard, which is the actual malice standard that was applied in the court back in the 1960s, it insulated the media from liability in these cases in this confirmation bias is a real problem. Tucker i totally agree. And informed american electorate is important at the media is responsible for helping the american electorate be properly informed. Tucker thats right, and we are falling down on the job l would say. Us being the media. Libby locke, thank you very much. People with direct experience. We put immense trust into the fbi, they had immense power. So what do we do when its top officials expose themselves as nuts, rush a conspiracy theorist . Its an important question, we will address it after the break. I think Andrew Mccabe has made a fool out of himself over the last couple of days ande he really looks to me like sort of a poor mans j. Edgar hoover. I think its a disaster. Tucker that was the president weighing in on Andrew Mccabes recent book tour. They put a lot of trust in the fbi, they have no choice, its our top Law Enforcement agency. Fbi officials are supposed to be adults, immune to hysteria and fads and above all immune to political pressure the last couple of years have shaken the publics faith that any of that is true. Jim, grandstand for attention. Sometimes he helps Hillary Clinton, other times her heard Hillary Clinton but it was always all about him. Peter strzok and lisa pagege we know swap hysterical texts that were also dumb. Wand when it comes to russia, s Andrew Mccabe sounds worse than any cnn anchor. Heres one selection. I dont know that we have ever seen in all of history and example of the volume at the significance of the contacts between people in and around the president andes his campaign wih our most serious, are existential international enemy, the government ofna russia. Tucker quick, define existential. But you d cant course he cant. He also recently said that he wouldnt be surprised ifsu the president were taking orders from russia to be you still believe the president could be a russian asset . I think its possible. Think thats what we started our investigation and really anxious to see what director mueller concludes that. Tucker there is no evidence of them but you dontth need it. He has a feeling, that hopefully we will get some facts. New reports indicate the release of Robert Muellers final report could be imminent, who knows. Eli lake has been covering the stuff for ach long time. Joins us tonight. This, to me, speaking of citizens, not really about trump of the democratic congress, its about whether you can trust your most powerful institution domestically, which is the fbi. And if the deputy, former Deputy Director is saying with a straight face he could be a russian agent on the basis of her little evidence, that seems so luckless and scary toce me. Tarter to justify that, especially two years into the t administration, President Trump has appointed russia half of the highest level ofof governance. He has, in a lot of cases conquered russian interests directly. Venezuela selling illegal arms to ukraine. There has been no quo to the quaid. The initial theory was that there was a conspiracy between the Trump Campaign in russia to distribute the emails from the dnc and john podesta and that there was coordination in some ways with the Trump Campaign to help russia influence theru election. I think most people believe that the russians certainly try to influence the election. The other part of that, the coordinationt not only has been proven. According to the indictment of roger stone they didnt know what were in the emails that roger stone was trying to figure it out from wikileaks. In the Trump Campaign had asked roger stone to find out what was in the emails, why would i have to go to julianas tucker so if you really wanted to help russia would want to spike Natural Gas Prices because thats the russian economy. In the fastest way to do that would be to take the richest natural gas field in the world offline with the green new deal. The very people who are saying that the United States should stop the production of fossil fuels are training, claiming that trump, who promotes the production of fossil fuels is somehow an russia side. It seems insane to me. In fairness, trump gets inn trouble sometimes. I think in 2016, russia, if you are listening, look the other emails and things like that and there are moments where the helsinki summit from last summer is another example of where he will say things that i think most people,in including myself what sort of scratch our heads and say where is this coming from . Why is he being so deferential to putin . To what we havent seen is any kind of followthrough in terms of the policy. Tucker the bedrock interest. Nor have we seen the evidence that there was in all of these meetings that have come out think that hes talking about, all of these contacts. We have yet to see anything coming close to that initialif plan. Tucker it just seems like if you are ralph peters or some kind of hysterical person on tv making claims, thats fine. But if youre the deputyhe director of the fbi or just have been and you commanded massive Domestic Army thats heavily armed like a crush and kill people then you have an obligation not to be reckless in the things you say on cable news. Right. This was the first few months into the administration. I think the fbi really was freaking out. Its less understandable to me and i think its completely baffling is Rod Rosenstein. Because he, according to mugabe, rosenstein was frantically meeting with him and other Senior Leaders of the fbi proposing may be the invocation of the 25th amendment, wearing a wire, doing all this andd ultimately leading to the appointment of Robert Mueller as a special counsel. But it was Rod Rosenstein who originally helped basically come up with the memo justifying the firing of comey. Its like en the argument thai get from reading between the lines, ive read a bit of the book now from mccabe is that there would be no investigation. They would have launched this investigation, we wouldnt have gotten mueller if on the trumpet stuck the initial cover story that hid obscure his real reasons for firing comey. Believe that it was all about Hillary Clinton according to mccabe, that doesnt make any sense. Tucker it doesnt make any sense and im even more confused, but quickly you try to explain the reasoning, thank yo thank you. Join the against the west, now several isis brides want to come home and the reporters say its racist to prevent them. Buffalo Style Chicken in a pouch bold choice, charlie just tear, eat. Mmmmm. And go try all of my chicken creations chicken at Bass Pro Shops and cabelas. Where you can trade in an old rod and reel and save even more on a new one. Plus huge savings. Like 50 off spools of Berkley Trilene fluorocarbon line. Tucker its been almost 16 years of the United States invaded iraq in order to overthrow the regime of saddam hussein, spring of 2003 level number. In the end more than 4,000 american troops died in that war, tens of thousands more were maimed and more than 100,000 civilians died as well. The whole thing cost this country more than a trillion dollars in the ripple effects are so obvious. Its really hardly a stretch to say that without the iraq invasion there would be no syrian civil war, no isis, no european migrant crisis. For that matter there might be no President Trump, who ran against that war. Iraq war turned out to be our most momentous and costly Foreign Policy actions since vietnam. It mightve been worthce it if e got something out of it in the end, but did we . Wewe didnt make the region saf. Weapons of mass destruction that justify the invasion never justify the invasion never remembering the next time the government and the New York Times aligned to assure you that something is absolutely true, for real. It may not be true. It often isnt true. But for a broader answer to whether it was worth it or not, there is a new two volume 1300 page study of the war and its consequences. It was produced bys the Army War College and released last montht to very little notice. The conclusions of the study are grim. N years of warfare in iraq failed to create a thriving democracy therefore even a stable government. Our much vaunted coalition of allies didnt work very well since most allies sent only token forces, too few to be useful. A handful of countries did all the real work. Keep that in mind when i tell you how critical nato is. But the most part of the report is the conclusion that the iraq war really had only one winner. If one was not america, it wasnta, iraq. According to the reports authors and bolded and expansionist iran appears to be war. Sionist iran appears to be will any of these lessons get noticed in washington . Will most nobody has paid any price at all for embroiling thia country in the iraq disaster. The biggest advocates of the war are stillar around. And amazingly, many are still influential. Bill kristol, john bolton. Many of these people want to repeat the iraq war on a larger scale if they can in syria or libya or yemen or venezuela or iran itself. They learned nothing. And they may get their chance to do it again but before they do they ought to write a book report on the Army War College report. Isis has been all but destroyed in syria and now followers who gleefully abandoned the west and went over there to help her trying to slink back home. One of them fled the u. S. To join the caliphate and marion isis fighter. Now she says she deserves to return without any serious punishment. I thought it was doing things correctly for the sake of god and when i came here and i saw with my s own eyes, i realized ive made a big mistake and i know i ruined my future. Do you think you deserve a punishment for what you did . Maybe therapy lessons. Maybe a process that will ensure us that we will never do thisth again. Tucker therapy so she will never join isis again. As in the case of many issues, the u. K. Is dealing with the same problem but its even worse over there. Her former isis bride is not even i sorry. Many are not sorry at all for what they did but still want to come back. Live off taxpayers they waged against. Watch. Hi id think all people should have something towards me. The proof that i did anything that is dangerous. They have beheaded people, there were executions. I know about those things and i was okay with it. I did have a good time there. Please dont give up on trying to get me back. Tucker i was okay with they beheadings but you should feel sorry for me. So far these people have been keptet from returning to the u. But at least one columnist has already called that racist. Nigel once led the u. K. Independence party and he joins. Thanks very much for coming on. So how much would you have to hate your own country to publicly argue it is racist not to allow someone who approved of beheadings while living with an isis fighter back into your country . This is an actual law. If we were to say as a country she cant come back to our country, where taking your country, where taking your making her stateless and that is what our class are scared of fact is shebut the chose to leave us, she worked with direct enemy of our country, of our values. As far as im concerned shes not stateless, shes Islamic State and i dont want her back int my country under any circumstances. And for those that say look she was only a 15yearold kid, she made a mistake. Christian forgiveness is based on people first repenting of their sins. And as you said, her casual attitude towards heads, fighters had been beheaded and she found them in the van and she was okay with it, no. Its possible, always possible to forgive people for sins. But that got to recognize what theyve done wrong first. I dont want her back but i fear our country is much weaker than yours when it comes to defending our values and i fear she is coming back. Tucker it seems since you do live in a democracy that there would be a market for some politician to stand up and say im not hating anybody else but my first job is to protect our citizens. Why dont you have a National Politician who will say that . Occasionally one does say that and they get abused, as you say, called racist, all the things ive been called over these years. There is a consensus amongst british politicians that you dont tackle these issues, its too awkward. And of course remember we have a growing Muslim Minority within the United Kingdom and the fear is if we say these things we will alienate the community and they wont vote for us in the future. And cynically, that i think is at the top of the list. Tucker may be majority of british muslims support isis. I would doubt it. Im sure there are a lot of reasonable people who see this kind of behavior as discrediting to them and wrong. I would certainly hope so but also sort of like who cares, shouldnt somebody be brave truth . To tell the this is a very important point. The vast majority of british muslims are integrating into our way of life. Wa they are appalled by what isis have done but with this young woman has done is it makes their fives in their communities more difficult and tougher for their kids to integrate. And the key here is we in the west must not launch a crusade against anan entire religion. We must launch it against the extremes of that religion and get moderate islam on our side in this great battle. But you dont do that by being weak. If you do it by being strong. Tucker thats exactly right. Thank you very much for that. Cnn is under fire from outsidea and from within for hiring a former Trump Administration staff. Tucker this is a fox news alert, Jussie Smolletts legal team has released a statement in response to the felony charges filed by Chicago Police. , like any other citizen he enjoys the resumption of innocence, particularly when there has been an investigation like this one for information both true and false has been repeatedly leaked. Given the circumstances we circumstances we can do and t do my intend to conduct a thorough investigation and mounted an aggressive defense. Smollett does of course enjoy the resumption of interest. Many of the things he said have already proven to be untrue. The New York Post headlinee tomorrow says that she could choke this time, im a liar. The press known of course, especially the national press, particularly cnn, for its scrupulous political neutrality. So goes the saying of the hiring of a single middleoftheroad former republican staffer and people are hysterical about bias. Former doj spokesman just hired by cnn as deputy politicalol editor. According to the creepy kid who covers media for cnn, the staff over there were furious one unnamed reporter called it a disaster and said there were ethical applications to working for someone who publicly supported trump. Of course there are quite a few former Obama Staffers on the cnn payroll, no problem. Here to tell us more about all of this is joe concha, who covers the press for the whole pretty good to see you, joe. I know well and i think a lot of her but my impression was never that she was some florid right winger. I dont know but i certainly dont have that impression of her. O she, and why the hysteria over this . Shes worked for some pretty moderate republicans whether talking about mitt romney or carl if arena. Jeff sessions spokesperson and youre right, the headlines are credible here. Cnn hires g. O. P. Operative with no journalism conspiracy to coordinate 2020 coverage. Esquire. Cnn just at the new standard for Corporate Media stricken stuff catering to republicans. Again, cnn catering to republicans. Every analysis in the overwhelmingly negative. But lets put it this way, lets say cnn hired Valerie Jarretts daughter. And she was assigneder to cover the trump doj despite having no journalism experience whatsoever. Do you think that esquire, box and all these otherr publicatios would be going nuts right now over a hiring like that ofat somebody who has no journalism experience but honestly has a bias, and the answer is we arty know the answer because that actually happenedd in 2017. You can go down the list. Look at George Stephanopoulos. It was barely reported. I wrote about it i think two years ago but there wasnt a lot of coverage on that. Again, we see what happened with hugh hewitt at msnbc. Everybody was in an uproar because antilock u was trying to bring msnbco too far to the rigt by giving you hewitt and 8 00 a. M. Saturday morning show for a halfhour. He didnt even get the full hour. I was actually on the show, it was quite fun. And if like what you do when youre turning into fox news . Thats what happens, you hire anybody from the right and left news organizations and they go nuts because its not conforming to the way things have always gone, like with George Stephanopoulos for like withd David Shipley worked for the clinton administration, went on to be a New York Times oped editor at the list goes on. Tucker im starting to think they are really in favor of diversity. Depends on what kind of diversity we are talking about. E talk what ideological diversity. Tucker more people are different. Theyre not into it. And blood, it was overblown. Trying to say that sarah florez is going to oversee all the 2020 coverage, no, she reports up to people and there are several people who have the same title that she does so with just one person to try to balance things out a little bit. Give cnn a o little bit of credt in that regard but then again i would say that i agree with the lefts or at least leftleaning publications when they see you could have hired a hundred other political editors here that cant be kind of compromised in any way because we saw what happened at cnn obviously with anna purcell when she got her hands not once but twice on town hall debate questions and pass them onto the Clinton Campaign and said that was my priority over my priority list cnn. Tucker applicable. Joe concha, great to see you. Thank you. Ou as you know if youve been paying any attention, theres literally nothing cooler than marijuana. Cool people smoke weed and thats like total legalization nationwide seems inevitable. What is marijuana use rises a Mysterious Illness called cannabinoid hyper mesas syndrome is affecting some heavyed users. Not a lot is known about this but symptoms include what they are calling an uncontrollable wave of screaming and vomiting. Might be worth learning more considering ubiquity of marijuana so we are joined by dr. Marc siegel, our inhouse doctor. Grateful to have hundred what is this . We use marijuana to decrease nausea and pain medicinally, medically but as is anything medicine when you start using a lot of it you get thea reverse effect when you actually want. So this is for chronic pot smokers out there, places where its recreational. We see a ton of this in colorado, by the way. Flooding emergency rooms. Probably over 3 Million People in the United States are affected because what happens is the pot, when you start using a lot of it turns off the receptors inin the nerves that e supposed to suppress nausea and pain so you are nauseous, you are in pain and the only thing that works i for this is hot showers. It floods the receptors, it turns them back on, you go back to normal but youve got torm be in the shower for six hours. As with the cures . Stop smoking pot. Kamala harris out there, stop smoking pot, thats the cure. Tucker six hours. It seems to me, ive never heard of this. I grew up in california. It seems like theres still a lot we dont know about the medical effects of heavy marijuana use. Thats the takehome message longterm effects in terms of behavioral changes, judgment, how you do on exams, this is a big one and i will tell you the biggest take, people misdiagnose this all the time. People have had their gallbladder taken out by mistake because they come to an emergency room vomiting uncontrollably and even doctors are not used to this but over 3 Million People, and as we zoom out, more than 10 million who are chronically smoking pot nationwide, we will see more and more of this. This is a terrible side effect. Pain and vomiting and its a warning for people out there, there is no free lunch here. Tucker our politicians over the reckless. Great to see you. Thanks very much.
