there are certain things that have to be done no matter what you do in an outdoor event. make sure that everybody has -- is on the same channels, that know all the protocols, that understand how to get things done. >> reporter: so historically the made in american festival brought about $10 million in outside revenue into the city on labor day weekend. city officials are hoping for even more three week away now the world meeting of families had a announced the availability of more tickets. beginning tuesday, september 8th at noon, 10,000 tickets will be available to the public for the event with pope francis at independence mall saturday, september 26th. you can get those tickets on the world meeting of families website. the tickets will be available on a first come first serve block of south. one person a male was shot and rush to hahnemann hospital where he died. police say hasn't gun was recovered at the scene. the investigation continues. the eagles make a move a day on new warning from the government. >> reporter: millions of children suffer with chronic ear infections. >> keep them up at night. crying through the night. calling the emergency room. calling his doctor. >> reporter: what dad steve wolf didn't know the ear drops prescribed for his son can be dangerous. warning from the fda says ear drops with ben so cane can lead to dangerous side effects and were never evaluated by the agency. >> over the years those medicines have been used a lot. and the fda simply pulling the medical community back in to say wait a minute. there can be serious complications of these medicines. >> reporter: notice from the fda outlines its intention to take enforcement action against unapproved and miss branned ear drops that contain bense so cane. >> there are a lot of pediatricians, there are a lot of doctors in this country who will say, that the medicines on that list have been effective for their patients. again, the trouble is, that we don't really have hard and fast data to prove that. >> reporter: statement from the fda says many health care professionals are likely not aware of the unapproved status of these drug products and have unknowingly prescribed them because the drugs labels do not disclose that they lack fda approval. some pharmacists have decided to stop selling the ear drugs on their own. >> it's not worth it. now i can't even say it's not going to harm you. >> reporter: worried parents are being advised to call their doctor and consider switching to over the count pain remedies. >> it will be equally as effective for ear pain. >> ben so cane is approved for the use in other drugs. steve is disappointed it's not for ear drops he says offer the best relief for his son's ear aches. >> as a parent having you've these metter indications we fop them safe and effective. >> manufacturers who use ben so cane in ear drops have been ored to stop shipping the unapproved drugs by objection. i'm stephanie stahl cbs3 little bit of cloud cover but we'll see more sunshine returning. eventually mostly sunny this weekend. temperatures cool down. you can feel the difference already and humidity levels will drop through the overnight hours into your saturday morning time frame. the reason is because of this front moved in from the north pushing southward there you go that cooler flow coming of off e north atlantic ocean. bar harbor maine 52 degrees this area. low 60s burlington and boston. temperatures dropping into the mid 70s this hour. humidity going down as well. enjoy that pleasant conditions saturday sunday little bit more humid for labor day. and bring back some steamy conditions on tuesday into much of the second half of next week. i mentioned those winds increasing especially along the
