David J. Jackson, 45, of East Alton, was charged April 6 with aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony, and criminal damage to government supported property, a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the East Alton Police Department. According to court documents, on April 1, Jackson a resident of the Olin Building Apartments allegedly pushed another man who was physically disabled. Jackson also damaged the drywall inside the lobby area of the building, which is operated by the Madison County Housing Authority. Bail was set at $30,000.

Two charged with theft from fire department Scott Cousins, scousins@thetelegraph.com FacebookTwitterEmail EDWARDSVILLE Two men have been charged with several theft-related felonies Wednesday, including stealing from the State Park Fire Department in January. Joseph T. Wells, 35, of St. Ann, Missouri, and Aaron D. Jackson, 40, of O’Fallon, Illinois, were each charged March 31 with possession of burglary tools and theft under $500 (second subsequent offense), Class 4 felonies. Wells also was charged with theft from coin-operated machine (second subsequent offense), a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. The State Park Fire Protection District includes both Madison and St. Clair counties.

WBGZ Radio 4/1/2021 | By Mark Ellebracht - WBGZ Radio An Alton man is facing several felonies in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a child over a period of more than two years.  38-year-old Kenneth Withrow of the 700 block of Reuter Street is charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, and 6 counts of criminal sexual assault.  The victim is currently 14 years old.  According to the case presented by Alton Police to the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office, Withrow allegedly committed the crimes on several occasions for more than two years starting in November 2019, the first two incidents took place when the victim was under the age of 13, the other 6 took place after the victim turned 13.  Bond for Withrow is set at $250,000 and his preliminary court appearance is set for April 9.
