January 28, 2021 - 5:43 AM PALM COAST, Fla. - An 18-year-old high school student in Florida has been arrested after recording a song in which he threatened to kill a school administrator following a suspension, sheriff s officials said. Joseph Washington was arrested Tuesday on felony charges of making written threats to kill, the Flagler County Sheriff s Office said in a Facebook post. A judge released the teen from jail Wednesday and his trial is pending, records show. Washington told investigators he wrote and recorded the song in retaliation for being suspended from Matanzas High School in Palm Coast for a dress code violation and for using offensive language, sheriff s officials said.

On Tuesday, an 18-year-old student at Matanzas High School was arrested for posting a song making explicit death threats against a dean at Matanzas. On Wednesday, a student at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School off Belle Terre Parkway in Palm Coast, was arrested for threatening to shoot up and blow up the school. That student is 11 years old.

Jan 28, 2021 10:08 AM Palm Coast, FL -  For the second time this week, the Flagler County Sheriff s Office arrested a student for making threats at school both saying they were only joking. An 11-year-old male student at Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School is now charged with False Report of a Bomb. FCSO deputies made contact with Principal Kavanagh yesterday (January 27) who reported an email from a parent stating that her daughter heard the suspect make some concerning statements during the previous day s lunch period. The suspect made numerous disturbing statements regarding his intentions to cause harm to students at the school and the way he would use to do it. The daughter reported the suspect said he would blow the school up with bombs and harm students with a gun and mace that he claimed to have in his backpack.
