SOUTH CAROLINA MAN CHARGED WITH DRUG-RELATED FELONY IN LAFAYETTE COUNTY

A 25-year-old Simpsonville, South Carolina, man is facing a drug-related felony charge after a large cache of marijuana and other drug-related items allegedly were found in his vehicle after a traffic stop on I-70 in Lafayette County more than a year ago. According to a report from a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper, during a probable-cause search of the vehicle on January 17, 2020, concealed inside furniture and cardboard boxes in the vehicle were 256 vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana weighing approximately one pound each; three vacuum-sealed packages containing approximately 98 THC oil cartridges; 18 small containers of marijuana; two packages of THC edibles; and a marijuana cigar.

MAN AND WOMAN FACING FELONY DRUG CHARGES FOLLOWING THE EXECUTION OF A SEARCH WARRANT

Two area residents are facing felony charges following the execution of a narcotics search warrant. At approximately 2:50 p.m. on April 12, members of the Lafayette County Drug Task Force and Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the residence within Lake Lafayette in Odessa, as a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation. As a result of the search, authorities seized approximately 93 grams of methamphetamine; approximately 3 grams of marijuana; three sets of digital scales with crystal residue, which tested positive for methamphetamine; several used syringes, numerous broken glass smoking pipes containing methamphetamine residue; a .22 caliber gun and ammo; two glass smoking pipes containing marijuana residue and one glass pipe containing methamphetamine residue and several zip lock baggies with residue.
