A data center firm is expected to close on the Sears campus

Sources familiar with efforts to market the former Sears headquarters in Hoffman Estates say Dallas-based Compass Datacenters is expected to close on its purchase of the 273-acre property this month. Village officials say they're ready for whatever comes next.
