A wish list for 2021 By Vivian Blevins - Contributing columnist Our resolutions in past years have always been rather routine. We want to lose weight, eat better, exercise more, save for a down payment on a new vehicle. Last year was a wake-up call to so many of us as our lives were turned upside down. It was the worst year of my life, but to detail the specifics would be a violation of my family’s right to privacy. As we enter 2021, I have hope. This does not mean I have not considered my possibility of dying from COVID-19. I, however, have done what I should have done in previous years: updated my will; completed the paper work to have my body donated to a medical teaching facility when I die; written an email to the governor of my state suggesting we use medics in the military, law enforcement and firefighting and large nearly-empty facilities such as the mall in my town to administer vaccines. Finally, I’ve put together a scrapbook of all kinds of information my sons will need when I die.
