Alabama to carry out first nitrogen gas execution : vimarsan

A convicted murderer is scheduled to be executed in the southern US state of Alabama this week using nitrogen gas, a novel method that the United Nations has likened to "torture."He is to be executed by nitrogen hypoxia, a method which has not been used before in the United States.
