talk over the phone. our foreign affairs department, special services, are working fairly well together in areas of mutual interest. >> it was interesting, senator, because putin was asked about basically not getting along too well with the u.s. and he shifted back and said that he's regularly in contact with president trump. we know that the two have spoken about, i think, six to eight times, that's our official count that we have been able to track down since president trump came into the white house. what do you think of putin stressing that? >> mr. putin has a game plan. his game plan is to try to bring down our democratic systems of government. not just in the united states, throughout europe. i authored a report in january that spelled out the use of the asymmetric arsenal to compromise democratic institutions in europe and the united states. sot coerns me is that president trump needs to be very clear of mr. putin. that we will not tolerate his
