>> honestly after this year of pontificating that we have all been a part of, today the voters have the power. so thank you very much for breaking all of that down for us. meanwhile, the georgia governor's race is among the most contentious in the country, they have voter suppression concerns and allegations of abuse of power, that's where we find gary tuchman live in suburban atlanta for us. what's the scene at this hour? >> reporter: we are at a polling place in cobb county, georgia, this polling place and every other one in this state, in the 159 counties in the state opens up at 7:00 a.m. they've been opened up for a long time, there is an extensive early voting system here in the state of georgia, in some of the counties this is actually day 20 of voting. so people have been voting since october 15th. more than 2.1 million votes have already been cast here in the state of georgia, compare that to four years ago, the last midterm election, 900,000 votes
