her family and friends in these final hours and finally passed this morning. her family put out this statement that i'll read to you that says elizabeth, anania edwards, mother, author, advocate died today at her home in chapel hill. we have lost the comfort of elizabeth's presence, but she remains the heart of this family. we love her and will never know anybody more inspiring or full of life. we want to express our gratitude to the thousands of kindred spirits that moved her and touched her along the way. your support and prayers touched our entire family. she is survived by her 28-year-old sister and two children. emma claire who is 12 years old and jack who is 10 years old. the edwards' lost their son wade at 16 years old who died in a car crash. edwards family said it was their son's death wade that propelled john edwards into politics when
