egyptians live on either in poverty or below the poverty line, on less than $2. when you have all egyptian institutions have been decimated. when you don't have freedom of expression, no institutions. that changes your calculus. it changes your assessment. i think the protesters are terrified that their revolution, what they call the intefadeh, might be hijacked by the mubarak regime. and the question really is, the question at the heart of your question, lies the lack, the absence of trust and confidence in the president in president mubarak and his regime. and that's why it seems to me there is a fierce struggle of political wills between the protesters on the one hand and the opposition who would like to move the entire regime and president mubarak and his allies who would like to do everything in power except to keep the president in place. we'll see who will blink first in the next week or so. >> fawaz, you just kind of
