i'm british and i'm fleeing the wedding. look. obviously when two people get married, it's a sweet sig and nobody objects but i object to the institution celebrated and unelected monarchy whoever has a golden palace gets to be my head of state. in most countries, parents can tell their kids if they work hard and do everything right they could grow up to be the head of state and symbol of the state. your head of state grew up on food stamps. mine grew up on the postage stamps and it has a deforming effect on britain's character. the symbol of our country is picked on the most snobbish criteria of all. their blood line. kids in britain grow up knowing that we're all meant to bow and curtsey in front of a person simply because of their unearned and uninteresting blood line. and this snobbery soaks out
