Green Cove Springs hosts WWII display and mock battles this

War is coming to Green Cove Springs this weekend, but it's all for show.
And that show will let visitors watch real World War II tanks and historic military vehicles partake in mock battles — complete with ground-shaking artillery fire — to show off America's military might from skirmishes long past.
The First Florida Chapter of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association Winter Rally and Swap Meet runs Friday through Sunday at the Military Museum of North Florida at 1 Bunker Ave. off Florida 16 in Green Cove Springs. About 100 re-enactors will be on site, joined by nonprofit veterans agencies like Wounded Warriors and K-9s for Vets and vendors selling parts and militaria.
