She says she was always curious why the weather was different every day and why it was never warm in Ireland in the summer! Many years later, she completed a Masters in Meteorology in UCD and then came to the UK to start a career as a weather forecaster with MeteoGroup UK. Three years later she retrained with the Met Office to become a low flying aviation meteorologist working alongside the RAF. Later she moved to the BBC where she worked as a forecaster and eventually a weather presenter for the BBC. She joined ITV in 2017 as a weather presenter for ITV Anglia and UTV.
