Michigan COVID-19 cases, testing positivity continue decline

Michigan on Saturday added 388 cases and 72 deaths from the coronavirus as cases fell for the seventh consecutive week.
The figures bring Michigan's total number of cases to 890,345 and deaths to 19,365 since the virus was first detected in March 2020, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.
Cases and testing positivity in the state have declined for the last seven weeks. The statewide seven-day average of tests returning positive is 3.3%.
The deaths annoued Saturday included 66 identified during a vital records review.
This week, Michigan added 2,626 cases and 202 deaths from the virus.
