Top-seeded and defending NCAA champion UConn advanced to the Elite Eight with another double-digit victory, beating San Diego State at TD Garden. UConn was backed by a virtual home crowd — Boston is about 90 miles from their Connecticut, campus. “They showed out for us, and it was definitely electric in there tonight,” said UConn player Stephon Castle.
