(Shutterstock) ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington High School has been named one of the best high schools in the United States, according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report. This year's list ranks more than 17,800 public high schools throughout the country. Among those schools, Arlington High School landed at number 830. Massachusetts schools performed the best of any state, with 39 schools — or 11.2 percent — ranking in the top 5 percent nationwide. Arlington High School ranked 36th out of 348 Massachusetts high schools. Subscribe The state's top-ranked school is Boston Latin School, which was ranked 36th nationally.
