so i told her, i said, "simi, look, we can try now. we don't have the players." but while i was at the world congress, they had these workshops and, in this workshop, i sat where we were... we were told about the korean module. the korean module was one simii mehra and two officials. so i found myself very much in that situation. i said, "we have one simii mehra, and maybe we can set up a board, or have two or three people who can, you know, help to evolve this game and at least make a change." so i came back and i discussed this with the secretary of the indian golf union. i said, "look, this is my idea." they said, "aren't you a little early?" i said, "no, i think i can pull it off. and if the koreans can do it, why not us?" so that was the turning point. and the igu, the indian golf union, said, "yes, go right ahead, if you believe you want to do this." i said, "it's good for the game. we need to actually push out a lot of the players who've been playing too long, give them a career here, and let the younger generation come in." and i think that was a very bold step for that time. i got abuse from media, from
