i think that this is a tough lesson. i think that this trial by fire, almost but we are going through, the hope is that, unfortunately, this big wave of cases that we are seeing is going to do one of two things. one is after this initial crisis there is a period after the surge that we are talking about that you might see, as you, said you sort of increasing the baseline level of immunity in the population now. now we don't know how long antibodies would last against covid. we are still learning about how exactly you had the boosters and after you had your initial infection would be a variant. but we do know that every time you have increased the baseline population immunity, at least the immunity against severe disease you can increase that at the population level. so the health care system, hopefully, the next time you have a variant that may not be as overwhelmed because you have created a lot more of the people who've had some sort of exposure to this virus that might keep them from getting critically ill. however, that is the whole. and hope is not a book public
