KANYE WEST: Strip Club Therapy | 100.3 The Beat

Jun 3, 2021
TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
15 grand and all you have to do is keep your clothes on and pretend like you're paying attention? I would take that deal.
I bet a lot of the folks that usually try to talk dancers ears off like this are drunk or coked up.
Strip club therapy... it's an interesting concept. People love to pour their hearts out to bartenders, maybe the dancers should start charging for talk therapy sessions.
Kanye can say so much in a 15 minute rant, I can't imagine how much ground he covered in three hours.
The adult entertainer says that Yeezy recently showed up at her place of business a few years back and wound up dropping $15,000. While that number might make sense if he was buying bottle service or enjoying the champagne room, it sounds like what he actually paid for was a therapy session of sorts. Anessa Rossii posted her story on TikTok, telling followers that Kanye dropped 15 stacks just because she took the time to listen to him. He apparently wasn’t interested in a lap dance or watching the girls dance on stage -- he didn’t even drink.

IN BLANKSTARE NEWS: AIRLINES SUSPEND ALCOHOL SALES THROUGH SUMMER | 100.3 The Beat

Jun 1, 2021
Southwest and American Airlines are extending their suspensions of alcoholic beverages to in-flight passengers, thanks to a rise in passengers behaving badly.
Southwest and American Airlines are extending their suspensions of alcoholic beverages to in-flight passengers, thanks to a rise in passengers behaving badly.
Alcohol sales, which were put on hold to minimize interaction between crew and passengers, will now stay suspended until September 13th. (HuffPost)
This is why we can’t have nice things, people.
Hopefully, everyone can be peaceful ... civil ... human ... and things can truly get back to “normal.”
Running a profitable airline is tough. It’s a tough business. The companies definitely want to sell alcohol. There’s money to be made. To shut it down shows just how poorly passengers are behaving.

TeeRoy's 2 Cents Rumor Report 6/1/21 | 100.3 The Beat

Jun 1, 2021
GUESS WHO? This rapper, producer and Twitch streamer announced that he is starting his own podcast this month, featuring guests like Lil Jon, Steve-o, Mike Tyson and Slim Jimmi. Can you guess who?
Kanye West was spotted out and about in Los Angeles over the weekend, but what’s most notable were his accessories. Gone was the wedding ring he wore around his finger, signaling the split from Kim Kardashian, but he did have what looked like a T-shirt or perhaps a cloth bag covering his entire head. With a guy like Yeezy, it’s hard to say if he was hoping to remain incognito or looking to start a new trend.

J. COLE: Confirms Infamous Diddy Fight | 100.3 The Beat

May 19, 2021
TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
Sounds like Cole's been doing a good job staying out of trouble while it still seems like Diddy needs anger management courses from time to time. Remember the whole kettlebell thing?
Can you imagine being at the club and seeing this go down in VIP?
Nowadays this guy Diddy is running around calling himself "Love." I guess a lot can change in eight years.
There's at least two sides to every story -- but it's hard to imagine Diddy's version being drastically different.
It was back in 2013, when the North Carolina rapper and the Bad Boy mogul reportedly got into a scuffle at a MTV VMA afterparty in New York City. On Cole’s new album, The Off-Season, he addresses the situation in his lyrics on a song called “Let Go My Hand,” with lyrics reading, “Couple wins, couple losses, some broken up too quick to call it / My last scrap was with Puff Daddy, who would've thought it? / I bought that [guy’s] album in seventh grade and played it so much / You would've thought my favorite rapper was Puff.”

So, if you’re in your mid-40s, experts are now suggesting that that you get that checked out earlier instead of later.

So, if you’re in your mid-40s, experts are now suggesting that that you get that checked out earlier instead of later. (ABC News)

ANDREW BROWN JR.: Police Shooting Was "Justified" | 100.3 The Beat

May 19, 2021
The D.A. began the press conference by showing videos taken by four body cameras.
Many believe the videos show Brown was trying to drive away from the officers and not in their direction, as the D.A. suggested.
The shooting sparked days of protests in Elizabeth City.
There is still a separate FBI probe into a possible civil rights violation.
The 42-year-old Brown was shot and killed in his car last month in Elizabeth City, North Carolina when sheriff's deputies tried to serve him with an arrest warrant. According to police, he was shot five times, including once in the back of the head. District Attorney Andrew Womble said at a press conference today there will be no charges filed against any of the officers involved and added that Brown "drove recklessly and endangered the officers" and "used his vehicle as a deadly weapon" while resisting arrest. He added, "Mr. Brown's death, while tragic, was justified. (Fox News)

JASON DERULO: It's a Boy! | 100.3 The Beat

May 19, 2021
TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
Jason and Jena met and started dating right before the pandemic.
Jason had previously said that he wanted to have a boy to carry on the Derulo name.
Well, he loves to sing his name, so maybe he'll just name the baby Jason Derulo.
Frumes revealed the big news in an Instagram post, sharing a few photos and writing, "A glimpse of my first week with our healthy handsome little king. Life now has so much more meaning & I am so grateful. I'm so so so in love with this little boy he's everything I never knew I needed 05/08/2021" She added, "I love you forever @jasonderulo."

MASK CONFUSION: Dr. Fauci Defends CDC's Decision to Lift Mandate | 100.3 The Beat

Thank God. I'm so sick of wearing a mask.
I'm still not ready to give my mask up. I'm double-vaxxed, but still feel like I need to wear it at the grocery store and the gym.
However, not all cities, counties and states have followed along.
The news was welcome to most, but also confusing, since a lot of states, counties and cities still have mask mandates in place.
Also somewhat concerning is the new directives are based on an honor system, which means those who claim to be vaccinated could also take off their masks along with those who actually got the shots.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends eating at least 400 grams of fruit and vegetables per day.

MTV MOVIE & TV AWARDS: Marvel Dominates | 100.3 The Beat

May 17, 2021
TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
If all the recent award shows are any indication, no one watched.
The best part of the show was that it lasted only two hours.
Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom isn't the type of movie usually nominated for an MTV Award. Maybe it was there to "correct" Chadwick's Oscar loss.
With 2020 being one of the worst years in movie history because of all the postponements, Disney Plus almost made up for it with all their great shows.
You could definitely tell the pandemic is coming to an end, as stars failed to socially distance on stage.
No masks were in sight on the red carpet (People)

IN BLANKSTARE NEWS Yet another reason to do away with gender reveal parties | 100.3 The Beat

May 17, 2021
A TikTok video that has gone viral proved that a father was the biggest baby at a gender reveal party.
Yet another reason to do away with gender reveal parties … Luckily, this time no one was hurt … at least physically. A TikTok video that has gone viral proved that a father was the biggest baby at a gender reveal party. When the dad-to-be learned through the pink balloons that he would be having a daughter, he appeared to say, “Son of a b*#%h,” threw the balloon strings, and turned away from the party guests, who were all smiling and cheering. PIPELINE CYBERATTACK: Panic Buying Causing Gas Shortages | 100.3 The Beat

May 12, 2021
TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
Americans are being asked not to hoard gasoline or even fill up their tanks if they don't need to.
Telling Americans not to panic often makes them panic even more.
The pipeline shutdown is impacting states from Texas to New Jersey.
The Russian ransomware attack on the Colonial Fuel Pipeline last week forced the fuel distributor to shut down. Colonial hopes to resume service by the end of this week. Despite warnings about panic buying and hoarding gasoline, many people have been waiting in long lines to fill up the tank, and some stations have been jacking up their prices. S&P's Oil Price Information Service reports more than 1000 stations are experiencing shortages.

SHOCK G, BLACK ROB: Funeral Plans | 100.3 The Beat

Apr 29, 2021
TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
Both men were way too young -- in their 50s.
It's always nice when the public is able to pay their respects to an artist, even if that's just watching through a screen.
Kinda feels like Diddy is trying to save face if you ask me.
Shock G will be laid to rest in Tampa, Florida on Saturday.TMZ reports

Money B and
DJ Fuze plan to attend. While members apparently stay in touch, there is no plan for any sort of a Digital Underground reunion.
