Dina Asher-Smith needs to find form this summer to have a chance of winning
Credit: GETTY IMAGES
Early-season races are invariably sedate affairs: a chance to remove the rust and loosen the limbs after months of punishing winter training. There tends to be very little at stake. Olympic medals cannot be won and lost in May.

If Dina Asher-Smith is in any danger of underestimating the scale of her task at this summer’s Olympics, she is in for a stark reminder.
