upper midwest as we go throughout the afternoon. heat advisories, excessive heat warnings in effect for this entire area. look at the highs today, 104 in dallas, 101 oklahoma city, even minneapolis hitting the triple digits. high temperatures over the next couple of days in dallas will hit 107 on thursday. houston will hit 106 on thursday as well. a good 10 degrees above normal. even little rock and oklahoma city staying in the triple digits for the next three days or so. as we travel to the north, midwest, look at minneapolis, 101 tuesday. we'll drop about 10 degrees though by the time we get into thursday. green bay peaks on wednesday at 96 degrees. and even chicago hitting 99 degrees. so today's heat index will feel like 110 in dallas, feeling like 113 in little rock, even feeling like 114 in minneapolis. that is a hot afternoon. more than 400 potential records will be broken.

dallas friday hitting 109 in del rio, temperatures close to 104 in monroe. and temperatures will stay above average and then even building to above average temperatures across the northern plains, midwest and really the entire east aside from some areas in northern new england, below normal temperatures for the west. so temperature outlook for next week, it looks like hardly anyone will be able to escape the heat. we'll see a small pocket across portions of the southwest as well as the northeast. but we're looking at a very hot week or above normal week i should say for the vast majority of the u.s. here is the forecast radar. you saw the storms just sweeping by. we have a chance of showers and storms. the next two days anywhere from an inch or two of rain across the midwest and that will work its way into the northeast and new england. still to come, the death toll is still rising after heavy

even extending into portions of central california. and so we'll be dealing with triple digit heat for some areas. spokane, 100 degrees for today. normal high of 84. hitting 100 in sacramento, that is almost ten degrees above normal. but you see that temperatures start to cool a bit. it will be back to 85 on saturday in spokane. seattle back to norm willing a everybody below normal on friday. and so temperatures will start to pack down. in texas we could see incredibly hot temperatures, some of the warmest so far. we're looking at temperatures at 108 in dallas. 103 in houston, 104 in midland. those are the highs on thursday, 108 in dallas. feeling like the triple digits all across the deep south and the gulf coast. so another very hot and humid day. so temperatures will hit 109 in

winds. those are going to be the main threats with just a couple of tornados possible, too. as we get into tomorrow, your saturday plans across the north east could be interrupted by this system working farther to the east. those same kind of impacts with the wind and hail are going to be what you're most likely to see, but we have the localized heavy rains and flooding concerns could be out there, too. this will last at least through the afternoon and evening hours and another round for parts of the midwest as the tail end of that system works through that region and brings us some strong storms. by the time this is all said and done through the next couple of days and weekend picking up an inch or two, stretching doung to illinois. watch for the flooding concerns. this is the region across the southeast that could see flooding today. on top of that really warm temperatures once again. the south continuing to sizzle. triple digit temperatures from new orleans to midland texas and hit 104 today and these temperatures will continue at
