Right after he took off from the Santa Monica Airport yesterday afternoon, the plane could be seen flying low as he tried to get back to the airport after engine trouble. The 72yearold ford placed a distress call after the plane lost power. He ended up clipping a few trees and landing hard on the Penmar Golf Course before paramedics got there.
