from docanada to mexico as the arctic air invades. windchills can be as cold as 40 degrees below zero. we have the caucus monday evening in iowa. temperatures at that time look like they'll be 10 degrees below zero. you put the clock on that for frostbite, you can get it in ten minutes or less with conditions like that. the arctic air continues to spill south. 20% of us with temperatures below zero. 80% of us below freezing. by tuesday with 200 plus records that could fall. daily highs and lows as we go through the next couple of days. all this happening in the midst of their warmest winters on record. just incredible. as the cold air punches in, it will also drop snow across the south. parts of arkansas and tennessee with winter storm warnings for 3 to 6 inches of snow as this front comes in and dumps snow in places that typically don't get it.

power out ages. then as the storm continues to move north on sunday, you see some of the reds in nebrw engla. that could be major impact. we'll have the showers and storms as far south as florida. that could impact isolated cases of severe weather. the cold air punches in from the north. you can see the pink in the krrls and high evidencelations. then it continues to work its way north. philly, new york, sitting and teetering on that rain/snow line. a lot of that snow inland into pennsylvania, new jersey, upstate new york, and then it works into n nebraw england. and then it exits pretty quickly by sunday afternoon we're looking at snow showers tapering. here's a lock at ice totals. could be a quarter inch or so of ice in some of the high terrain. once you get that ice weighing down tree limbs and power license, you can get some power

warnings in effect for the southern portions of west virginia and some ice accumulations going into pennsylvania. up into new england, we're talking about 5 to 12 inches of snow in some locations. you have showers and storms across florida here that could also create damaging winds and maybe a brief tornado. then you'll have the northern part of the system where the cold air punches in. you have icy conditions in the appalachian mountains. snow stin d.c. and new york wil start to peak later tonight. across new england, we're looking at heavy, wet snow, some gusts of 40 miles an hour, ice too. a couple of power outages will be possible. by tonight, you're looking at snow really peaking in new york city. new york city is on that
