"IPL Gave Us Platform To Express": Ajinkya Rahane On Dale Steyn's . Watch

Rahane said IPL has provided many cricketers chance to express themselves
Steyn said that he felt "cricket gets forgotten" sometimes in the IPL
After South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn said that he decided to opt out of IPL 2021 because he felt that other T20 leagues were "more rewarding as a player", India's Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane refused to comment on Steyn's statement but added that the Indian Premier League (IPL) has provided many Indian and overseas cricketers with the platform to express themselves over the years. Steyn, who is currently playing for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), said that since players earn so much money in the IPL, sometimes "cricket gets forgotten". The Delhi Capitals batsman refused to comment on Steyn's statement saying that he was not sure exactly what he had said.

Rahane asked to not take seriously critcism aimed at Indian pitches
He said Indians never complain about pitches when touring abroad
India's Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane on Tuesday said there is no need to take criticism of the spin-friendly pitches in the country "seriously" as not a word is spoken about the "damp" tracks elsewhere and England can expect another turner in the fourth Test. There has been a lot of talk about spinning tracks in the second Test at Chepauk and the pink ball game at Motera which ended inside two days. The fourth and final Test starts on March 4. "I think the wicket will be similar to the second Test match in Chennai, spinning track. Yes, pink ball made the difference and it came much quicker off the wicket compared to red ball and we had to make adjustments," Rahane said during a virtual media conference in Ahmedabad.
