today, friday, february 18, years, but how long will it last today, friday, february 18, 2011. captions paid for by nbc-universal television and good morning. welcome to today on a friday morning. i m matt lauer. i m meredith. that s the scene in tahrir square in cairo this morning one we can after president mubarak stepped down. they were estimating a million people would show up today celebrating. right. we re going now to nbc s ron allen in the streets of cairo with the latest on what s going on. ron, good morning to you. reporter: good morning to you, matt. it s an incredible scene in tahrir square. it s a huge celebration but also a huge protest. the military leaders have asked people to go to work and not stage protests anymore, but they are out in the hundreds of thousands. they asked for a million. they may have gotten it. there are a lot of grievances that have not been resolved. people want the state of emergency lifted. it allows people to be arrest ....
