Uttarakhand's new Chief Minister for one-day, Srishti Goswami
On the occassion of National Girl's Day, Srishti Goswami of Daulatpur village in Haridwar district held the position of Uttarakhand chief minister. The 19-year-old girl from Haridwar has made history by holding the chief ministrial post as the first woman CM of the state.
In her one day regime, she will take stock of various schemes include Atal Ayushman Scheme, Smart City project, Homestay Scheme by the tourism department, and other development projects run by the Trivender Singh Rawat government. Goswami will administer from the summer capital of the state -- Gairsain.

New Delhi: As National Girl Child Day is being celebrated today, Shrishti Goswami became Uttarakhand's Chief Minister for a day, on Sunday.
Shrishti, 19, is a student at BSM PG College Roorkee and lives in Daulatpur village in Haridwar. She attended an official meeting to review various schemes run by the state government.
Shrishti will review various schemes run by the Trivender Singh Rawat-led government. Schemes on Atal Ayushman Scheme, Smart City project and Homestay Scheme by the tourism department and other development projects.
Earlier in May 2018, Shrishti became the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Bal Vidhan Sabha. She has been a part of many initiatives and participated in several programs on International Girl Child Day.

DEHRADUN: 19-year-old Shrishti Goswami from Haridwar who took charge as Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on Sunday in Gairsain of Chamoli district excelled as CM and received praises from Trivendra Singh Rawat.
"Such opportunities provide our future leaders with insight and experience as to what goes on in building the nation. She did very well as CM of the Children Vidhan Sabha. Our daughters are more than capable in bringing transformation in family, society, nation and the world," CM Rawat said praising Goswami.

Chief Minister of Uttarakhand for a day on National Girl Child Day. Started from 2008 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the day is observed on January 24 every year to raise awareness on gender-based discrimination.
With the nod of approval from current CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, the young leader will reportedly administer from the state’s summer capital, Garsain. Shrishti will review various schemes run by the state government including Atal Ayushman Scheme, Smart City project, the tourism department’s Homestay Scheme, and other development projects.

Goswami has been the CM of Bal Vidhan Sabha (Children's State Assembly) since 2018.
Authorities from the state government said that officials of various departments of the state government will give her a detailed presentation before she starts functioning as the CM.
A letter in this regard has been written by Uttarakhand Child Rights Protection Commission to the Chief Secretary of the hill state.
Usha Negi, the chairperson of the commission said, "The arrangements regarding this have already been made in the state assembly building in Gairsain. Srishti has been working with us for a while now and we are well aware of her capabilities."
