The Bangor School Committee voted that Dr. Marie Robinson will replace outgoing Superintendent James Tager, who retires at the end of June.

Robinson has over 25 years of experience, most recently she served as RSU 89 Katahdin Schools superintendent.

The Bangor School Committee approved the new hire on Wednesday, meeting its goal of hiring a new superintendent by July 1.

Members of the School Committee have been weighing all the options to come up with suitable candidates for the position and are set to make their decision.
