Barb Neal came to the Hayden Kite Festival for an excuse to get outside, because as a senior it can be hard to find those, she said. She joined dozens of other Hayden residents to watch all kinds of kites dance in the wind from homemade to rokkakus, or stacked to three-dimensional and everything in between.
The Hayden Kite Festival is returning for another afternoon of high-flying fun. Described as “a great event for the whole family,” the city-hosted festival will take place from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6 at Broadmoore Park, 2691 W.
