But at first glance, the technology involved might look like a strange headset. But then, you notice the camera and when you put it on, it projects images in your field of vision. AR is technology that superimposes a computer-generated image into your view of the world. Itâs now being used for surgery. âWhat weâre talking about is using augmented reality to make spine surgery and the placement of hardware safer and more precise during surgery,â said Dr. Brent Kimball, spine surgeon at Sky Ridge Medical Center.

It will involve a community service day combined with an MLK birthday celebration and an evening online concert on Facebook “Live,” explained Bobbyjon Bauman, center director. “We were able to secure a small grant from Serve Ohio from the state of Ohio to help cover our expenses for a service day event, and we are thrilled to have local minister Michael Jett of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Steubenville who started and currently leads the Generation Now youth ministry there be our speaker,” Bauman noted.
