From The Kansas City Star
KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Headlines across the country have been abundant with news of shocking theme park accidents in the last several weeks, some of them fatal. Last month, a Tennessee boy got caught under a Missouri coaster and was seriously injured.
And in early June a woman died from internal bleeding after sustaining an injury while riding a roller coaster in Indiana. It was ruled an accident.

Fire departments rescued 22 people off a Castles N' Coasters roller coaster that had stalled on Saturday in Phoenix.
Technical Rescue Teams from Phoenix and Glendale fire departments were dispatched to the location shortly after 5:30 p.m. for reports of a stuck roller coaster. About 10 to 15 units responded, according to the Phoenix Fire Department spokesperson Captain Todd Keller.
The "Desert Storm" coaster stalled 20 feet above the ground on a horizontal loop, leaving 22 passengers in the ride.
Firefighters set up a High Angle Belay System and lowered each rider down, which took around 90 minutes, Keller said.
Each passenger was evaluated on the ground. Some were shaken up by the incident, but no one had injuries or was sent to the hospital, Keller said.
