Contra costa county firefighters spent the holiday racing from fire to fire. 37 of them in six hours. Firefighters say nearly every fire was likely caused by fireworks. It just kept going today. Firefighters say fireworks likely sparked this grass fire around noon on Franklin Canyon road in martinez. In about an hour, it spread 24 acres and returned really close to highway 4. Crews did manage to get it under control with two helicopters and two air tankers. Many of the fires were centere in antioch and pittsburgh.
