Crews had managed, you can see here, have managed to focus in on parts of the road but by that time residents had already been impacted. Residents didnt know what to make of it at first. I was looking out the window and i thought maybe a fire or something. A major water main break on park center road and king street tore through the cement and asphalt making way for a geyser that shot up 20 feet in the sky. It was kind of icy walking because a lot of the areas where the water had been pooling, its below freezing right now. Thousands of gallons of water then became a treacherous river that streamed down king street and later created a thin sheet of ice. Interesting to look at but im sure ive seen all the traffic, probably a pain to folks trying to get to and from work right now. Even after the geyser slowly retreated back into the gaping hole, the damage was done. Dangerous conditions forced police to shut down king street and i295 for over two hours.
