Our shallow but dense deck of low clouds and fog. Certainly creating problems with zero visibility in some plays. A mile and a half, two and a half across the bay in hayward and oakland down to a halfmile. But we are looking at this shallow, dense deck to continue to erode throughout the day today. It will burn back to the coast. So mostly sunny skies on pap again with numbers climbing through the 60s by noontime. By 4 00 we are back into the 60s and 70s again with a mild to warm day on tap. A little bit more fog in the forecast tonight. But ill let you know the specifics for high temperatures around the bay area today. National Transportation Safety board says one of the men supposed to be a lookout, being off the tracks, and outside of the complete path of the train. That is something two men would have had to decide among themselves. National Transportation Safety board will be reenactinging the sin nair yes at 1 00 tomorrow afternoon, same time of the day as accident happened as a result, the track will be closed. And the board will be running buses between lafayette station and Pleasant Hills station, between noon and 3 30 tomorrow afternoon. Is at about 1,000 feet deep. We expect it to be an issue this morning with temperatures in the upper 40s to near 50. By this afternoon mostly sunny conditions and the fog continues to roll back to the coast with temperatures mainly in the low to mid60s. By the afternoon, though, once finish, we are well into the 70s around the bay. Looks like low 60s at the coast. We are talking about partly cloudy skies today at the shoreline. In breaking news, crews are mopping up a fire at an Apartment Building in walnut creek. Four units were destroyed in the fire that broke out around 1 30 at the boulders apartment. Thats on north civic drive. The fire is now under control. Seven children and five adults were displaced. No one was injured while the cause of the fire is under investigation. Authorities say it

Condolences to their families. Our hearts, our prayers, go out to the families of two workers who have just been killed on the bart tracks. This is a tragedy of the greatest proportion for the bart family. Reporter assistant bart manager paul overseer said the train was in automatic mode and an experienced train operator was behind the control. Some Union Members claim the operator was a manager without recent experience filling in for operators now on strike. If that was an experienced train operator, it wouldnt have happened. Reporter its an allegation bart owe filgss would not discuss. Weve just lost two people in the bart family. And thats what our focus is on. Reporter bart procedures require that one employee act as a lookout for oncoming trains as the other one works. Bart officials said both workers had extensive experience around moving trains.
