We work with more than 3,000 youth teaching writing in schools andn our Writing Center in Columbia Heights and publishing their work in books. Focused. Eracy yes. Its hard to learn writing, right . We think that it sort of comes naturally but it takes a lot of work and practice and so what we offer tond students a teachers across the district is t opportunity to develop writing as aractice and life long skill. Who do you teach . 300 students. Half stundents come to the center. We teach writing workshops and weave field trips and on site book binding studio and the other half we go to their classrooms and work with their teachers to develop a writing currulum that inspires them to love write. How cold and when we can expect a warmup. Lets start with how cold it is outside right now. Were at 12 degrees in allentown. 15 in philadelphia. 14 in wilmington. The winds from the north and northwest just continue to pool in that cold arctic air. Our temperatures will stay down low today. You can see hour neighborhood sevenday forecast. Here is what it feels like outside. 6 below zero in coatesville. 1 for the feels like temp in philly and a big old zero for mt. Holly now compared to the actual temperatures. Many of us feel 10 to 15 degrees cooler than we truly are. Radar and satellite view. A big difference from yesterday. We have now dried out. If theres any slick spots on roadways still from a couple days ago, we had a good bit of rain, those may have iced over. If youre driving early this morning, make sure youre taking it slow. You can see the area of low pressure out to the north out across the northern great lakes and that trailing cold front that will work its way eastward as we get into tuesday afternoon really tuesday night and throughout the day on wednesday. Its cloudy for most of us on tuesday for the majority of the day but well tracking light snow fall in our far northwestern suburbs and Lehigh Valley as we get into tomorrow afternoon.
