Migrant parents have said they have no idea where their children have gone after crossing the border into America, as some are about to be housed as far away as Michigan due to the overwhelming number of arrivals.
Moms and dads already settled in the US are being forced to deal with the agonizing weeks-long wait to hear any news of their children s whereabouts or wellbeing as the federal government struggles to cope with the influx of migrants crossing the border from Mexico into the US in recent months.  ....

Coronavirus vaccines are breaking the link between cases and deaths, scientists behind a major surveillance study tracking England s outbreak claimed today.
Imperial College London epidemiologists found while Covid infections appeared to have levelled off in early April, fatalities linked to the virus were still falling which would not have been expected during the first or second wave.
They said this signalled how the successful vaccine roll-out may already be beating the virus. More than 31million Britons or three in five adults have received a first dose so far.  ....

Pfizer has failed to deliver 10 million Covid jabs to the EU that were due in December in the latest blow to the bloc s supply following its row with the UK over AstraZeneca.
Brussels today admitted that it was one-third short of the supply it had expected from the US firm.
It s the latest setback for the EU s flailing vaccine rollout which last month saw Brussels launch bitter attacks on Britain and UK-based manufacturer AstraZeneca, accusing the pharmaceutical giant of reneging on contractual obligations.   ....

Lingering at coastal tourist hotspots is putting injured whale sharks at a greater risk of boat strikes, a study of the larger, slow-moving filter-feeders has found.
Researchers from York and the Maldives warned that wounded sharks stay in certain, favourable locations for three times longer than their uninjured counterparts.
This means they not only miss out on seasonal food sources in other areas, but that they also put themselves at greater risk of further injury as a result of human activity.  ....
