The deadline to file for an exemption from the Davis special library parcel tax is June 1. Exemptions to the special tax are granted for the following:
Property zoned and used for agriculture and not containing a residence.
Property that is not buildable or developable because of some reasonably permanent incapacity. This may include odd parcels or pieces, which, for historic or other reasons, have not been merged into adjacent parcels, but which, because of size or other reasonably permanent disability, do not or cannot comprise a separate building site.
Property owned and occupied by residents with a total household income of less than $52,400. ....

Ryan Choi, director of the ASUCD Pantry, and his fellow student leaders at UC Davis will share their stories about addressing food insecurity among students. For almost 10 years, the pantry has fed UC Davis students in need, reducing the impact of hunger on their pursuit of higher education.
With more than 800 students using the pantry every day before COVID-19, they are proud of the close support from the Davis community that makes the pantry a welcoming place for everyone. The pantry’s services are made possible by more than 100 dedicated volunteers. During COVID-19, the pantry served more than 200 households, supporting students facing difficulties shopping at grocery stores. ....
