Emotional gathering in the investigation happening at this hour. Jay . Jay it seemed like this entire neighborhood came out to pay their respects to douglas reyes, who lost his life about 24 hours ago here on school grounds. I want everybody to keep my brother in their memories. Jay hundreds gathered on the grounds of haywood elementary gaywood elementary school. His brother mike. He lived a better life than i have. Jay family members cannot understand why anybody would harm reyes, who lived with physical and mental disabilities after a car accident as a child. He was 24, but require the care of a child. He did not deserve to die like this. Suspect, 31yearold adam jones of lanham did not know reyes and stabbed him without provocation. Im really surprised to hear about my son doing this. Has been diagnosed with multiple Mental Illnesses and insists he is not the kind to lash out at anyone. Something had to have happen to have caused this. Its not in his character. It still unbelievable.
