first front will bring some outbreaks of showery rain as it sinks steadily south and east. we cling onto some sunshine in south—east england perhaps. but quite a narrow band will develop a heavy, possibly thundery downpours by the end of the afternoon across northern england and north wales. behind it, breezy, showery and noticeably cooler across scotland, 10-14 c. as noticeably cooler across scotland, 10—14 c. as we go into wednesday, england and where is will keep the drier, perhaps even sunnier weather. the sharper showers and blustery winds further north and west, some of them heavy, with hail and thunder, even a little bit of winteriness to the tops of the mountains. 11—13 c in the north and 15-18 mountains. 11—13 c in the north and 15—18 further south. that trend continues as we close out the rest of the week. on the whole it stays quieter for england and where is of the week. on the whole it stays quieterfor england and where is but there is likely to continue to be a few sharp blustery downpours and the feel of the weather i'm afraid stays disappointing. sally. louise, thank

sunshine, pretty much across the board in scotland. it'll stay like that through throughout the afternoon. thicker cloud. further south, it's been thick enough for a spot or two of drizzle, some brightness into the afternoon in the southeast. here we'll see highs of 21 degrees and with that sunshine in aberdeenshire will see 20 as well. but as we go through the night, the cloud continues to sit with us. the breeze will pick up and drive in a few scattered showers to the north and west of scotland, maybe into northwest england as well. temperatures holding up to greeters on tuesday, but it's tuesday that we'll start to see the real change to the story. those fronts will gradually sink their way steadily south and east. there'll be a lot of cloud, a little bit of early morning brightness across east anglia and south—east england, and quite a narrow line of intense showers develop as that front sinks south — behind it, bright and breezy with some showers in scotland and a cooler feel here, 10 to 15 degrees. we mightjust see 21 if we keep some
morning sunshine in the southeast. but onto wednesday, largely dry day for england and wales. blustery showers, some with heavy with hail and thunder, even a little bit of wintry ness to the tops of the mountains as well. a cooler feel to the day in scotland, 11 to 14 degrees, 18 once again to the south. and that theme will continue as we close out the remainder of the week, largely dry and sunny in the south and east. more showers further north and west. need your help. that means three
