To evacuate. The train stopped about 100 feet way from the platform at rosslyn metro. Based on other photos and tweets, it seems that another train parked in front of the disabled one so riders could walk through to the platform. Metro says that everyone was safely evacuated and they towed the troubled train away and there were residual delays. As of now, service is completely back to normal. The train that was stopped here is one of the newer trains, the 7,000 series. Metro says they dont know exactly what caused this train to stop.
