moderate rain. i m going to take you closer into sonoma. you see some yellows there. we re seeing pockets of moderate rain. heading into fairfield air base parkway, vacville, you re seeing some wet roadways right now. we go to the east bay and from san pablo dam road, there are some heavier returns. the rainfall is picking up in in tense intensity, though still pretty light. a steady rain in san mateo, pacifica, and we re tracking lighter showers in allen rock, you ll notice there, 680. we ll see widespread rain 11:00 p.m. 2:00 a.m., some rain. ponding on the roadways at 5:00 a.m., so if you re taking those kids off to school, you re heading to work, this is what you need to look out for. minor urban flooding is possible with light to moderate rain and breezy conditions, so hang onto the steering wheel. this is just the first of several storms. i ll be back with a detailed look at the other ones coming up. sand,y, thank you. now to the oakland fire, it started on ....
this is how it s supposed to happen. why does the government need to play a role? well, to some extent that s true but i take credit for it. if this had happened five years ago, if jpmorgan, what appears to be more than $2 billion, i think you would have seen much more panic in the economy. i think you would have seen much more concern. what we did in the legislature we passed and through other things was to require the financial institutions to be much better capitalized. so one of the things that s the result of the government telling them you had better have more capital than otherwise, that helps give people reassurance. this past weekend on newsmakers, barney frank spoke about the over $2 billion loss by jpmorgan chase as well as the state of the u.s. and world economies. the dodd/frank law and gay marriage. watch his comments online at the c-span video library. i think this is one of those markets that i think people vote for the don t vote for the party. ....
food education and educating people on how to know what to do? i think the study i referred to, just released yesterday or the day before, by the economic research service, encouraged people to look at it. because it s very compelling. they look at food costs by calorie, by volume, by portion. and obviously timeliness is another factor in all this, but they they point out fruits and vegetables among food groups are the least costly and the economist i know at the briefing i was at, compared the price, the number of calories in a doughnut versus a medium sized banana, and the banana being less expensive than that doughnut and far healthier for you. so there are a number of very practical source of messages that way, but i want to say on that access to healthy foods, we re very mindful, and bill referenced this in his remarks, we re very mindful of the access question. i know that in the food stamp or the s.n.a.p. program, about in excess of 90% of food stamp recipi ....
