Colorado, New Mexico Lawmakers Press Biden on Space Command HQ Relocation to Alabama

Huntsville, Alabama has been chosen to host the permanent headquarters of the U.S. Space Command, but New Mexico lawmakers have written a. letter to President Biden challenging the decision. U.S. Air Force Space Command Gen. Citing potential threats from China and Russia and the nation’s reliance on satellites for defense operations, Trump said the U.S. needs to launch a space force. With Wednesday s announcement that U.S. Space Command is set to make its new home at Redstone Arsenal, it lead to a common couple of questions: what is U.S. Space Command and is it different from Space Force?
The answer to the second question is yes, Space Command and Space Force are not interchangeable.

Special Forces Divers Explored a Secret Space Force Mountain Base


A 10
th Special Forces Group dive team went into the Cheyenne Mountain Complex, in Colorado, and dived to access the Complex’s reservoirs.
The Cheyenne Mountain Complex is a Space Force base that houses several capabilities, ranging from electronic surveillance to missile defense to aerospace operations. In addition, the Complex serves as the alternate headquarters for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Air Force Space Command and U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), which are headquartered nearby at Peterson Air Force Base.
The Complex is designed to operate independently from outside help, so the condition of its reservoirs has to be perfect. ....
