Witnesses tell Police Gunmen with ak47 and grenades walked into the mall and told muslims to stand up and leave and nonmuslims would be targeted. The gunman would open fire. Some people have been taken captive. Right now police are trying to negotiate the released of those hostages. Authorities say the attackers appear to be of somali origin. We begin with the wave of gun violence in chicago. Since thursday evening, at least four people were killed. 25 more were wounded in a dozen separate shootings. Gangs are blamed for some of the violence where targets include adults, innocent bystanders and even toddlers. But as Dean Reynolds reports, chicago is even safer than it was a year ago.
