there is no silver bullet that can bring down gas prices right away. >> mike viqueira, good saturday morning to you, mike. so, the president is saying there is no silver bullet. i understand he's putting the nation's top lawyer now on this case. >> reporter: right. no relief in sight, and no magic bullet as the president put it today. kristen reported $3.86 around the country. in other places including right here in river city, it is over $4 a gallon in california, washington, illinois, hawaii and connecticut and new york state among other states. the president says there is no magic bullet but asking the attorney general, eric holder, to investigate fraud and manipulation in the oil markets. he suspects there is illegal speculation in those same markets, speculators on wall street among the big banks and financial firms. the president says, yeah, a lot of people run out in front of these gas signs where we do our stand-up reports where it says $4 a gallon, $5 a gallon for gas in some places.
