Reporter the federal government is coming to a slow down with many workers off the job and congress at a stalemate. Thousands of federal workers had just a few hours in the office this morning before they were told to go home. The budget stalemate in congress has partially shut down the federal government for the first time in 17 years. A sign that the Lincoln Memorial is turning away visitors. Lawmakers are still going at it this morning. The government is closed because of the issue ration ality of what is going on on the other side of the capital. Reporter the Senate Quickly rejected the latest temporary spending bill passed in the house because it includes an amendment that weakens the health care law. Republicans insist its their constituents that want to defund the Affordable Care act. The house legislation is perfectly reasonable. It didnt have every
