how do you get lawmakers to campaign on gun issues, considering the fact that this is now an epidemic in this country? and then how do you get folks to turn out and vote because of where their legislators, their lawmakers, stand on guns? >> yeah. ten years ago, when sandy hook happened, gun violence was still a third rail for politicians. no one was even talking about it. since then there have been politicians who have campaigned on it. and they have one. this isn't just about republican or democrat, this isn't about gun violence prevention or gun control. it is about being human. it is about saving the lives of your constituents, that is what politicians need to do. and i would love, personally, to hear more voices from gun owners, republican gun owners, because trust me, they are not pro-gun violence either. they are not pro school shooting. but they need to find a way to
