A lot of people by the way do not believe women did all these things. When we open this park in 2008 we invited anyone who had been a rosie in the area. A woman came. A woman came up to me and she had a scrapbook and she had pay stubs, all kinds kinds of things, her card from working here. She turned her eyes and ice said whats the matter . And she said i i didnt think anybody would remember what we did. I thought that was a chilling statement because there are a lot of people who do not know what happened. They look at we can do it poster and they think maybe it was the 70s and they do not quite understand who these women were. They do not understand the sacrifice these women did during world war ii.
