My job as the moderator is to let them come up to ask questions while i have a back and forth and then i get up towards the end and say now it is time to go to the reception and have some wine, so that is my main job. Good afternoon, one of the exciting things for the day and exciting moment and i have the honor of serving as the dean of school of Public Health, for all of you that are here for this exciting afternoon, im thrilled, welcome you. And also thrilled not to stand in the way of a great conversation, and so, im delighted to introduce our moderator, wellknown to all of you, im sure, michael, the chair of the department of Health Policy and management. [applause] im michael and my job as moderator host today is basically to introduce chelsea and devi talk 20, 25 minutes and let you guys ask question and i sit and have a whole back and forth with them and i say now its time to go to reception and have some wine and thats my main job. Before i do my main job, i just want to say a couple of quick things, three quick things about this terrific book. First thing i want to ....
Has a major anymore empathetic to the people you work with . That could be a very long answer. I used to think that people cared about me and maybe celebrated the results that i was able to generate because they cared about what i was doing, but i did know the people love me for who i am. And after the news, after i sent my letter to 7500 people 1000 of them wrote to the emails of encouragement and what are you doing next. I have nothing to offer you anymore. I realized for the first time in my life at the age of 31 that i was lovable as a human and as a person, not just as a leader who is generating results. And that love has been transformative and healing in my life. I hate talk about the mistakes i have made but at the same time its liberating to not hide undertake many leaders almost all leaders have done something at some point in their career that it became to light would make them lose their leadership. And most people dont get the liberty, freedom of actually getting to speak ....
